The Stables at the Bishop's Lodge Ranch Resort & Spa
Welcome to the Bishop's Lodge Ranch Resort and Spa. We are glad to have you as our guests
and look forward to riding with you. This is a brief synopsis of our equine program.
We offer scenic guided trail rides through the Sangre de Cristo mountains. We ride western
style and our friendly wranglers will accompany you on the ride.
The group rides, BBQ, and Cowboy Breakfast rides are ridden at a walk.
Private Rides in the afternoons are more flexible and, depending on your horseback riding
experience level, offer the option of some trotting and cantering.
You are encouraged to come visit with us and meet the horses any time. If you are interested
in booking a ride, please dial extension 4013 and we will be happy to schedule a ride for you.
We do an orientation prior to the rides, and instruction is given on the trail. We believe
that your riding experience is enhanced through a greater understanding of the nature of the
horse.
Our weight limit is 225 lbs and children must be 8 years of age to ride the trails. For younger children, we offer wrangler led horseback rides in the arena. Please contact the stable for
a kids ride.

OFFICE HOURS: Tuesday through Sunday 10:00a.m.-4:00p.m.
The Stables will be closed for rides on Mondays (horses' day off)
GROUP RIDES: available daily from 10am – 12pm. This scenic ride is at a walking pace only. The price is $55.00 per person
PRIVATE RIDES: available daily from 1pm – 4pm for an hour, hour and a half, or two hours. Private rides offer limited trotting and cantering.
The price is $55.00 per person per hour.
KIDS RIDES: are available by appointment only and last 10-15 minutes
The price is $10.00 per child 7 and under.
S'MORES AND CAMPFIRE RIDES: are available Fridays, and Saturdays at 4:00p.m. by appointment only. The Price is $60.00 per person.
Rides may only be scheduled by speaking directly with a wrangler.

The Stables reserves the right to refuse service to anyone exhibiting unsafe behavior or bad horsemanship at any time.
The rider weight limit is 225lbs.
Any special needs MUST BE APPROVED by the stables manager prior to the ride.
Children must be 8 years or older to trail ride.
Rides must be cancelled by 5:00p.m the day before the scheduled ride or a $30.00 saddling fee will be charged for each rider.
No call, no show riders will be charged the full price or the ride scheduled, plus a 20% gratuity to the wranglers. Parties of 6 or more will be charged a 20% gratuity per person, with the exception of the Meal Rides.

Rides are contingent upon weather and trail conditions. The stables has the right to cancel your ride at any time.
