Team Building and Group Recreation Offerings

The Bishop's Lodge Ranch Resort & Spa is proud to offer
an expanded Team Building and Group Recreation program
with a our trained Group Facilitator onsite. Team Building
activities can be a fun and constructive part of any Business
Conference or Corporate Retreat.
A sample of our team building activities follows.
Pricing ranges from $10 – $75 per person.

2 - 4 Hour Event
Chili Cook Off
Objectives Covered: Teamwork, Communication,
Comfort Zones, Physical and Mental Challenges
The group is broken up into equal teams.
Each team will go on a scavenger hunt in search
for their spices and cooking utensils.
Team members will have to cook their own chili
and create a marketing piece to sell their product.
10 person minimum, 50 person maximum
2 Hour Events
Backwoods Games
Objectives Covered: Comfort Zones, Camaraderie, and Thinking Objectively
Events include pie eating contest, hog calling, seed spitting,
"hillbilly" horseshoes, and much more. 10 person minimum
Rodeo Round Up
Objectives Covered: Communication, Patience, and Control
Your group
will be given a short orientation on horse handling before enjoying
a series of challenging events on horse back. All horse events are
at a walking pace. Your group will also enjoy events on the ground.
10 person minimum, 50 person maximum
1 Hour Events
Islands
Objectives Covered: Comfort Zones, Teamwork, Problem Solving, and Trust
Teams must us 2" planks to connect the islands and get their entire team across.
If one team member falls or if one of the planks falls then the team must start over.
10 person minimum
Claw
Objectives Covered: Communication, Teamwork, Trust, Problem Solving,
and Leadership
Each team member stands around a circle holding a strand of rope.
All ropes are connected to a hook that is used to retrieve an object from the
middle of the circle. First time everyone can see, second time, all but one is blindfolded.
10 person minimum
Mine Field
Objectives Covered: Trust, Communication, and Time Management
This event focuses on training. Each team member is blindfolded
except for one person who is the communicator. The communicator
must talk their team members through an obstacle course.
10 person minimum
Photo Scavenger Hunt
Objectives Covered: Teamwork, Communication, and Time Management
Each team is given a Polaroid camera with ten exposures and a list of
ten riddles telling them where to go and what to take a picture of.
This event can be done on land or water.
10 person minimum
Trekking
Objectives Covered: Teamwork, Problem Solving, Leadership, and Communication
Using a variety of parts, teams must build a trolley to transport their entire team to a specific destination. All team members must be off the ground and not on each other during transport. 10 person minimum
Pipeline
Objectives Covered: Communication, Teamwork, Patience, Creativity and Strategy
Each team member will be given a piece of covered piping, some with different shapes. Your team must transfer a series of marbles from one end to the other without moving and using only the pipes as transports.
30 Minute Events
Spider Web
Objectives Covered: Comfort Zones, Leadership, Teamwork, Trust, Camaraderie, and Problem Solving
Each member of a team must squeeze through or be passed through a
hole in the web without bumping or touching any part of the web.
Each hole can only be used once, in large groups twice.
10 person minimum
Human Labyrinth
Objectives Covered: Trust, Communication, and Comfort Zones
One person
from each team is blind folded and wrapped with 20 foot of clear surgical tubing.
Teams will have to verbally tell the blind folded individual how to move to
get a ball bearing from one end of the tubing to the other.
10 person minimum
Tangled
Objectives Covered: Problem Solving, Comfort Zones, and Frustration
In teams of twos, each person has a string tied to both of his or her own wrists. The strings are crossed connecting them together. The two members must separate themselves from each other without removing the string from their wrists. 10 person minimum
Blast Off
Objectives Covered: Teamwork, Trust, and Camaraderie
25 people must be off the floor and on a 2' by 2' platform. No team member may be on another nor lifted in the air. All team members must have at least one foot on the platform and no body part touching the floor. 10 person minimum
Who Dropped the Ball
Objectives Covered: Trust, Hand-Eye Coordination, Communication
There are 21 tennis balls with a word written on the ball relating to business relationships and success. When balls are put into “play” you must toss the ball to the same person each time causing a continuous circulation of tennis balls. Once a ball is dropped from “play” that person must explain what the meaning of the word on the ball means in relationship to success in work. 10 person minimum
CORPORATE GAMES/ICE BREAKERS
Talking Fruit Head
Having fruit at your function? We will provide a
"talking fruit head" that will surprise everyone who goes for the fruit.
Our camouflaged fruit head will be hidden among the fruit on the table.
The fruit head can be added to any meal but is especially great as an
addition to a breakfast to provide great early morning entertainment.
1 Hour Event
Indoor Golf Games
Miniature Golf: A four hole miniature golf course is designed using putt and return greens.
Each hole has a theme and a twist.
The "tool" hole is themed with tools,
one of which you will have to use to putt with and so on.
Putter Pool: Same as billiards only set up on the floor and you use putters instead of cue sticks.

30 Minute Events
I Have Never
Everyone sits in a circle.
Each person is given a handful of cards or objects.
Each person will tell the group of something they have never done.
If someone in the circle has done this they must toss a card or object into the middle of the circle.
A great way to get to know everyone in the group.
10 person minimum
Am/Seen
Each person is given a set of note cards with describing words on them.
Each person then places the cards under the name of the person they consider most appropriate.
The group will then discuss how people perceive themselves and how it differs from other points of view.
10 person minimum
15 Minute Events
Stretch Breaks
A surprise meeting break that includes our enthusiastic Activities
Team, music, fun and games, and snacks. This break will get the
blood flowing and reduce stress.
10 person minimum
Who Am I
The names of famous people will be placed on the backs
of each person as they enter into the room. Each person
will go around the room asking questions as to who they might be.
They can only ask one question per person and cannot visit a pervious
player until they have visited all other players first.
10 person minimum
