Adobe mud buildings and art are two staples of the Santa Fe area. This Saturday, we invite you to “Come Mud With Us!” Bishop’s Lodge and the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Northern New Mexico are hosting this free event, aimed at teaching our community about the history of Santa Fe architecture and funding the restoration of our historic chapel.
You are sure to get muddy while learning how to make the adobe bricks and adobe seed balls that characterize Santa Fe structures. After getting your hands dirty, you’ll dive into Santa Fe’s heritage during a tour the historic Bishop Lamy Chapel, built in the mid 1800’s.
We’ll provide a delicious for all from our signature restaurant, Las Fuentes. After the tour, “mudders” are invited to enjoy the beautiful September weather by playing croquet or taking a hike on our scenic trails.
The event takes place this Saturday, Sept. 7, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. To RSVP, simply reach out to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern New Mexico Program Supervisor Tashima Wildrose via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 505-983-8360.
We hope to see you at the chapel!
